About Nethra
I hold a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science, and I am currently completing an MSc in Business Analytics at Queen's University Belfast, one of the UK's leading research universities. My strong academic foundation in mathematics, statistics, and analytical thinking underpins everything I bring to my tutoring sessions.
I have extensive experience working with students across diverse backgrounds and age groups. During my four years as Student Placement Coordinator at PES College of Engineering, I regularly planned and delivered workshops, seminars, and training sessions developing a deep understanding of how to communicate complex concepts clearly and accessibly. Through Project Utkarsh with Roots Foundation, I volunteered as a teacher for government school students from underserved rural communities, an experience that strengthened my patience, adaptability, and commitment to inclusive education.
I have also delivered career guidance and subject presentations to over 500 students across partner colleges, consistently receiving positive feedback for my clear communication, approachable manner, and ability to break down difficult topics into manageable steps.
I am currently based in Belfast and am fully available for both in-person and online tutoring sessions. I am fully committed to creating a safe, supportive, and encouraging learning environment where every student feels comfortable asking questions and making mistakes because mistakes are where real learning happens.
I am patient, reliable, and genuinely passionate about education. My sessions are always well-prepared, structured, and tailored to the individual needs of each student. You can trust that your time and your learning is in good hands.

I have a genuine love for Mathematics and a deep commitment to helping students build confidence, understanding, and a positive relationship with the subject.
My approach to tutoring is student-centred and adaptive. I believe every student learns differently, so I take time to understand each individual's learning style, pace, and specific challenges before tailoring my sessions accordingly. Rather than simply providing answers, I guide students through problem-solving step by step — encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and independent reasoning along the way.
My teaching methodology combines:
Clear explanation of core concepts using real-world examples to make abstract ideas more relatable and engaging
Practice-based learning working through problems together to build confidence progressively
Regular check-ins to identify gaps in understanding and address them before they become barriers
Positive reinforcement celebrating progress, however small, to keep students motivated and engaged
Typical lessons run for 60 minutes, though I am flexible and happy to accommodate 90-minute sessions for students covering more complex topics or preparing for exams.
My tutoring experience spans several years from delivering workshops and career guidance sessions to over 500 students across partner colleges in India, to volunteering with Roots Foundation through Project Utkarsh where I taught digital literacy and communication skills to government school students from underserved communities. I am also currently completing the Master Your Leadership Programme at Queen's University Belfast, further developing my facilitation and people development skills.
My lessons are suitable for:
School students at GCSE and A-Level equivalent
University students needing foundation or first-year mathematics support
Adult learners wishing to refresh or strengthen their mathematical skills
I am patient, encouraging, and genuinely invested in every student's progress. Whether you are struggling with the basics or aiming for top grades, I will work with you at your own pace to help you achieve your goals.
I look forward to working with you!
