About Cora
I am a piano tutor with 4 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Theory and Composition with a Piano Emphasis. I also work as a composer and performer, bringing real-world musical insight to my lessons. I believe music is a lifelong journey, and every student can develop their own creative voice.
I specialize in improvisation and spontaneous composition, helping students craft original pieces while building strong technique. Lessons are designed to balance theory, expression, and creativity. Whether a beginner or advanced musician, I tailor each session to meet individual goals.
My approach encourages curiosity and exploration, allowing students to experiment with melodies, harmonies, and rhythms. We work on foundational skills, improvisation exercises, and original composition projects. I aim to make learning engaging, practical, and deeply rewarding.

My teaching approach focuses on making piano lessons practical, fun, and modern. I specialize in pop piano techniques, playing by ear, chord voicings for popular songs, and arranging contemporary pieces. Lessons are designed for students who want to play the music they love.
I work closely with hobbyist adults and pop players, helping them confidently perform their favorite songs. Each lesson emphasizes practical skills students can use immediately. I teach chord recognition, song structures, and how to play melodies by ear.
Students explore modern styles, rhythm patterns, and creative ways to arrange songs. We experiment with voicings and improvisation to bring personal flair to each piece. Lessons are structured but flexible to meet each student’s pace and goals.
