About WBT
As a dedicated and passionate Primary English tutor, I’m here to support young learners on their journey to becoming confident, capable communicators. With a Bachelor of Education (Primary) (Honours) from the University of New South Wales and hands-on teaching experience, I’m equipped with both the knowledge and practical skills to deliver high-quality tutoring that truly makes a difference.
I have spent years developing my teaching methods to suit young minds, having worked directly with students during my placement at Granville East Public School and through tutoring. My approach focuses on creating a supportive, engaging environment that makes learning enjoyable and accessible. I believe in meeting each student where they are, breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps, and using real-life examples to make English both relatable and memorable.
Tutoring is more than just a job for me—it’s my calling. I want to inspire a love of learning and build confidence in each student I work with. My goal is to see them succeed not only in school but also as self-assured individuals who feel capable and empowered. As someone with years of experience in both education and hospitality, I bring a professional, friendly, and reliable approach to every lesson, ensuring that students and parents feel comfortable and supported every step of the way.

My tutoring approach is centered on fostering a supportive, interactive, and engaging learning environment that adapts to each student’s unique needs. I employ techniques rooted in Cognitive Load Theory, ensuring that content is broken down into manageable steps, especially for younger learners. This helps prevent cognitive overload and allows students to build a solid foundation in English, especially in literacy skills such as reading comprehension, grammar, and writing.
I use a combination of real-life examples and relatable contexts to make English concepts resonate, creating a more memorable and enjoyable learning experience. Lessons often include interactive activities, such as reading aloud, structured writing exercises, and guided discussions, which help reinforce learning and encourage active participation.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, which allows for a focused session without overwhelming the student.
With a Bachelor of Education (Primary) (Honours) from UNSW and hands-on experience from my five-week placement at Granville East Public School, I bring both practical classroom experience and a strong theoretical foundation to my tutoring. Additionally, my background in Legal Studies and Hospitality has strengthened my skills in structured communication and clear explanations.
My lessons are designed for primary school students (ages 6-12) who need support in English, whether they’re looking to improve reading and writing skills or build confidence in literacy.
