About Ruby
When I was in primary school I received tutoring for mathematics. At first I was embarrassed and the thought of going to tutoring upset me. After my first few lessons with my tutor, I began to really enjoy my time at tutoring each week. At the conclusion of my tutoring experience, I was upset that it had come to an end. Although I had drastically improved in my mathematical skills, the reason I wanted to keep going to tutoring was because I enjoyed the lessons and the positive relationship I had with my tutor. This inspired me to become a tutor for students just like me at school. Tutoring is important in giving students one on one support with a qualified teacher, something students may not have access to in the classroom. My services offer an opportunity for students to ask questions, seek clarification and feel supported in their learning.
As a tutor I have extensive knowledge on English and Literacy, as well as teaching students with Dyslexia, and use this experience to deliver engaging tutoring lessons.

My personal approach to private tutoring is to allow lessons to be partly led by my student, to create a positive and enjoyable experience. Tutoring outside of school can be frustrating or daunting for students so my tutoring methodology is to create enjoyable lessons so students enjoy the tutoring experience.
I am a qualified English and Arts teacher who has recently relocated to London. Whilst working in London schools, I am offering my services as a tutor to assist young people in their learning. I have taught both primary and high school students, including students with specific needs. Additionally, I have experience teaching literacy to primary age students with Dyslexia.
I offer my services online and/or in person, allowing flexibility for the student. The typical length of a lesson is 45-60 minutes, however lessons of any length over 30 minutes are welcomed.
Tutoring is an important service to allow students to feel confident in themselves and different learning areas.
