About Oscar
Hi there,
I'm Oscar. If you need a qualified, experienced, affordable, and effective tutor in RE or English Literature (GCSE or A-Level), look no further.
I have a profound knowledge of the syllabus and can work through the required texts with students step by step. I hold a BA in philosophy and have an enduring interest in world religions. If there's anything about RE that you (or your son or daughter) are struggling to understand, I'll have them turned into mini-experts in no time!
The same applies for English Literature. Whether it's Wuthering Heights or Othello, Faustus or Great Expectations, Carol Anne Duffy or Tennyson – I've read them all and could not only help you pass your exams but develop a genuine interest in the text itself.
I'm aware that many students are as anxious about writing essays as they are about retaining the relevant facts and quotations. Fear not. Over the last seven years – particularly since I was editor-in-chief of The Lion magazine and newspaper – I have been a freelance editor and proofreader of distinction. I can teach students everything about how to write a successful essay, from grammar to structure to how to be persuasive.
