About Alisa
I have 2 years prior experience tutoring with Go Kids in STEM, covering various subjects from languages to math. I have dealt with half a dozen different students and have learned to tailor my lessons to their needs. As someone studying for a biophysics specialist, I have a strong background in math, up to and including calculus and proofs.

Oftentimes, students who struggle with math are actually struggling with the fear of not understanding it and getting the question wrong. My role as a tutor is to guide them past their fear and show them that math can be clear and logical, not scary and unpredictable. I prioritize deeply understanding the subject over memorization and strive to show my students that math can be fun.
