About Angel
I was a Registered Nurse for 8 yearsbeforegoing back to school to get a degree in Cognitive Neuroscience. I have minors in Philosophy, Biological Anthropology, Psychology, and the His ofIdeas. This broad knowle base allows me to find multiple perspectives to approach learning and problem solving. I moved into education 4 years ago and found a deep love for teaching and learning from my students.

My lessons are crafted to fill in the gaps and emphasize core aspects of the topics. My approach is holistic. I have degrees in Nursing and Cognitive Neuroscience. I am awareof the machanisms that facilitate learning and long term retention on a Biochemical level. I use my understanding of brain function and child development as the foundation for my teaching practices to increase engagement and maximize the potential for deep understanding- not just memorization. I also incorporate real world application using previous associations to enhance neural connection.
