About Andrew
I am a Pastoral-Biblical Counseling major at Appalachian Bible College. I have been a Christian for about 17 years, and I have devoted my life to serving God in full-time ministry after I graduate. I have a desire to teach others about Jesus and teach them how to study God's Word and apply it to their personal lives. Doing this tutoring will be a great stepping stone for my future ministry of pastoring and teaching a church one day.

•Students will be encouraged to participate in Scripture reading, in researching the historical and grammatical contextual background of the text we are studying, and in developing appropriate application of the texts to modern times.
•I will not typically just present my lesson as a devotional or a sermon, it will be very interactive and will encourage the student to also engage in the text rather than just listening.
•The best way to learn from the Scriptures is to interact with them and study them for yourself. My goal is to give students the desire and tools to accomplish this personal study.
•The lessons will be geared more towards those who are hoping to learn how to better study the Bible, but it will also be beneficial for Christians who already have a basic knowledge of the Scriptures but want to learn more.
• A typical lesson will look like this
-Lessons will begin with the reading of the passage we are currently studying.
-We will then go over what was studied during the time since our previous lesson.
-We will begin whichever area of study we are currently working on in the selected passage: grammatical context, historical context, dissecting sentences, paragraphs, and larger passages.
-Once we get through all of the steps for a given passage, we will move on to discerning the application for the modern Church.
-Each lesson will involve a lot of student participation.
-Each lesson will end in prayer and the assignment will be given for completion prior to the next lesson.
