About Katelynn
Hi, I’m Katelynn! I’m a dedicated and patient tutor who genuinely enjoys helping students learn, grow, and build confidence in their abilities.
I graduated high school early and have been taking AP and advanced-level classes since middle school. Since 2018, I have gained hands-on experience working with children and young people through mentoring, music instruction, and camp counseling.
I understand that every student learns differently, and I take the time to find an approach that works best for each individual. I am especially passionate about supporting neurodiverse learners and creating a comfortable environment where students feel safe asking questions and making mistakes.
I strive to be dependable, encouraging, and professional in every lesson. My goal is not only to help students understand their coursework, but also to help them become more confident and independent learners.
I welcome students of all ages and learning levels and am proud to provide a supportive, inclusive, and LGBTQIA+ friendly learning environment. I would love the opportunity to help you or your student reach your academic goals!

My Approach as a Tutor
Hi, I’m Katelynn! My goal as a tutor is to make learning feel comfortable, encouraging, and enjoyable. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to their individual needs, strengths, and learning preferences.
A typical lesson begins by identifying what the student already understands and what they are struggling with. From there, we’ll work through the material together using clear explanations, examples, practice questions, and hands-on activities when appropriate. I encourage students to ask questions and work through problems themselves while providing guidance and support along the way.
What sets me apart is my experience working with children and young people since 2018 as a mentor, music teacher, and camp counselor. I also graduated high school early and took AP and advanced classes beginning in middle school. I especially enjoy working with neurodiverse learners and finding creative ways to make difficult concepts easier to understand.
I welcome students of all ages and learning levels and am happy to work with students who need academic support, extra practice, help building confidence, or a different approach to understanding their coursework. I am also proudly LGBTQIA+ friendly and strive to create a safe, respectful learning environment for everyone.
