About Lachlan
I am an enthusiastic ESL tutor with 10 years of experience teaching High School and College students. Throughout my career, I have successfully taught 150–200 students and helped them improve academically while gaining confidence in English.
A significant milestone in my teaching journey has been helping students overcome initial hesitation or difficulty and become competent, confident users of English. Seeing their progress motivates me and reinforces my dedication to teaching.
My teaching methodology is structured, clear, and personalised. I focus on grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and speaking while also teaching study strategies and learning techniques. I provide exercises and real-life examples to make lessons practical and engaging.
I create a positive learning environment where students feel supported, encouraged, and safe to ask questions or make mistakes. I emphasise steady progress, consistent practice, and building confidence alongside academic skills.
Teaching ESL allows me to make a meaningful difference in students’ lives. My goal is to help learners achieve their academic goals, communicate confidently, and develop strong English skills for the future.
