About Lashana
Hi, I’m Lashana! I’m a patient and compassionate tutor who specializes in supporting children of all abilities. I have experience working with children who have autism, ADHD, dyslexia, intellectual disabilities, anxiety, and other learning differences. As a mom myself, I know how important it is for every child to feel understood, supported, and celebrated in their learning journey. I offer tutoring in English, reading, phonics, and math (primary to middle school), as well as homework help, organization skills, and confidence-building. I also include creative approaches like storytelling, art, and games to make learning fun and engaging. My approach is always flexible and child-centered. I adapt lessons to meet each child’s needs, whether that means using visual supports, breaking tasks into smaller steps, adding movement breaks, or connecting learning to your child’s personal interests. I believe in a strength-based method that focuses on what your child can do, building confidence and independence along the way. Families choose me because I create a calm, encouraging learning environment where children feel safe to try, make mistakes, and grow. I focus not only on academics but also on helping children build resilience and pride in themselves. I offer one-on-one online lessons, as well as small online group sessions for children who enjoy learning alongside peers. My goal is simple: to help your child succeed, feel confident, and enjoy learning again.

For struggling or reluctant readers (including kids with dyslexia, ADHD, or anxiety). We focus on phonics, reading aloud, and building confidence through fun stories and games.
2. Math Made Fun for Busy Minds
Designed for children with ADHD, autism, or anxiety around maths. Lessons use movement, visuals, and real-life examples to make maths less stressful and more engaging.
3. Creative Writing for Neurodivergent Kids
️ A safe space for children to express themselves through stories, comics, or journaling. We focus on creativity, not perfection, and help kids discover the joy of writing.
4. Homework Help with Patience & Fun
Ongoing support for children who struggle to focus or feel overwhelmed by schoolwork. I provide strategies, encouragement, and step-by-step help to reduce stress.
5. English for Young Learners (ESL)
Interactive lessons for children learning English as a second language. We cover vocabulary, speaking, listening, and reading through songs, games, and creative activities.
6. Social Learning Club
Small group sessions where children (including those with autism or social anxiety) can practice communication, teamwork, and friendship skills in a supportive environment.
