About Isabelle
I am a criminology student at Durham University in England. In my spare time, I teach several subjects, especially languages: English, French and Spanish. I love being creative with my classes, including role-playing or board games, DIY or cooking activities, etc.
During my year abroad in Spain, I worked at the British Council as an English teacher, giving lessons to people of all ages (from 3 years old to 30 years old).
During COVID-19, I volunteered at the anthill in Paris, giving free French and English lessons to refugees for their university exams.
Finally, I also worked for Tutorful, a company similar to Superprof but for England. I had the honor of giving dance and theater lessons in English through this site.

I base my lessons on the expectation of my student. Having worked with students of all ages and personality types, I know how to adapt to different learning styles (visual, associative, by observation...). I prefer to be creative in my approach. I am very organized and I like to plan my lessons ahead of time. I am a very patient person and I don't mind repeating or reviewing exercises; I also try to find different methods to “unblock” what the student does not understand. I especially like teaching languages through creative activities such as painting, cooking, sports, to make the language tangible and accessible.
