About Sarah
I love to learn about anything and everything, which carries into my love of teaching and guiding young people - I find great reward in seeing others flourish. I have over 2 years of experience in tutoring and a first-class BSc degree in Medical Sciences from the University of Leeds, which has only deepened my interest in STEM subjects. My time as a teaching assistant has also given me plenty of experience in 1-to-1 support, explaining topics in different ways, connecting with students and adapting lessons to individual needs. In other information about me, I enjoy music of many kinds, gaming, trying different food and drink, celebrating the seasons and going on adventures in my van. Some of my strengths are that I'm very chatty and cheerful, I always work hard to help people and I'm meticulously organised. I can be a bit of a perfectionist, but that means I'll always make sure my lessons are right for you and we'll keep trying until you get it right!

I am a patient, understanding and articulate GCSE maths tutor who enjoys helping others to learn, be curious and reach their highest potential. Students can ask for tuition on individual topics, or I can assess your areas of need and provide tuition that follows a personalised comprehensive weekly plan. My lessons follow the AQA syllabus and are delivered using Microsoft Teams. Available as 1, 1.5 or 2 hour sessions to suit different budgets, they consist of warm-up questions on essential maths skills, a teaching segment and practice questions. Homework and feedback are also provided. The lessons are very interactive and collaborative, so try your best to engage and ask questions! Once you're confident with the material, the focus will shift to preparing for exams so that you feel able to achieve your target grade. Whilst I primarily offer maths tuition for GCSE students, I am a passionate academic with A-levels in Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics - plus, A and A* grades in most GCSE subjects - so let me know if you would be interested in any other A-level or GCSE tuition. SEND students are especially welcome.

Sarah has a pleasant manner and students feel comfortable around her.Sarah has really helped me with the maths parts of my mechanical engineering degree.
