About Dominica
Hi! My name is Dominica, and I offer patient, personalized English and Math tutoring for elementary school students.
I believe that every child learns differently, and I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning at their own pace. My goal is to create a friendly and supportive environment where students can build their skills and confidence.
I’m patient, understanding, and willing to try different ways of explaining something when a student is having trouble. Whether we’re working on reading, English skills, math problems, or homework, I’ll do my best to make learning feel less stressful and more enjoyable.
I want students to feel proud of their progress and understand that it's okay not to get everything right the first time. Together, we can work through challenges one step at a time!

I offer patient and personalized English and Math tutoring for elementary school students. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my approach and use different strategies depending on what works best for each student.
Lessons can include reviewing schoolwork, practicing skills that need extra attention, working through problems step by step, or learning new concepts at a comfortable pace. I like to make sure the student understands the “why” behind what they are learning instead of simply memorizing answers.
A typical lesson may begin with a quick review of what the student already knows, followed by focused practice on the areas they are working on. I can then use examples, questions, games, written exercises, or other activities to help make the lesson easier to understand and more engaging. I adjust the difficulty and pace as we go based on the student's needs.
What sets me apart is my patience and willingness to try different approaches. If one explanation doesn't make sense to a student, I will try explaining it in another way. My goal is to help students feel more comfortable with English and Math while building their confidence and independence.
My lessons are intended for elementary school students who may need extra practice, help understanding a concept, support with homework, or simply more confidence in their abilities.
