About Deborah
I’ve always believed that learning is about more than getting the right answer. It’s about building confidence, asking questions without feeling embarrassed, and having someone in your corner who genuinely wants to see you succeed.
I recently completed law school, where reading, writing, and communication are part of my everyday life. Before law school, I completed a Commerce degree, which taught me to approach challenges from different perspectives. Those experiences have shown me that everyone learns differently, and that’s exactly how I approach tutoring.
One of my favorite things about teaching is watching a student go from saying, “I don’t get it,” to explaining the concept back to me with confidence. Those moments remind me why I enjoy tutoring so much.
Outside of academics, I’m someone who enjoys encouraging others, celebrating small wins, and creating a positive learning environment. My goal is to make every lesson a place where you feel comfortable asking questions, challenging yourself, and discovering that you’re capable of much more than you thought.

Hi! I’m Deborah, a lawyer with a background in Commerce and years of experience helping students become more confident writers, readers, and communicators. My studies have taught me how to think critically, write persuasively, and explain complex ideas in simple, practical ways—and that’s exactly how I teach.
Whether you’re preparing for an exam, writing essays, improving grammar, building your vocabulary, or simply trying to become a more confident English speaker, I’ll tailor every lesson to your goals and learning style. I believe every student learns differently, so I focus on understanding how you learn best rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.

I know how rewarding it is when something that once felt confusing suddenly clicks, and I love helping students experience those moments.
