About Dina
My beginnings were humble: informal crash course sessions before exams in the back of the classroom during my first year of high school.
However, I did not formally teach until my first year of university. It was there that a professor asked whether I would be interested in teaching students with (dis)abilities through the university’s Accessibility Services.
Since then, I have successfully obtained my Bachelor of Business Administration. I have worked as an independent contractor at the university level and with a leading learning center in the North and West Vancouver area. Over these past 6 years, I have taught preschool, elementary, high school, university, and adult students. Additionally, I’ve had the pleasure of working with ESL and international students, professionals, siblings and family members, and neurodiverse individuals.
Above all, I am no stranger to needing help. Be it French and math in high school, or statistics and accounting in university. I received my fair share of academic support. From my own personal educational challenges to my experiences working alongside students… there is one thing I am certain of the right help works.

This class is aimed at helping ESL students gain confidence speaking English. Our focus is on building everyday vocabulary, improving pronunciation, and comprehension through listening skills.
My teaching methodologies depend on the student's capabilities and interests. Typically lessons involve the following components:
- Reading: focus on pronunciation, building vocabulary, and improving comprehension
- Writing: academic, non-academic, and or business-related assignments
- Speaking (ESL): using guided role-play, and various educational prompts

Invoices are sent at the beginning of the month based on booked sessions. We accept e-transfer, EFT, PayPal, cheque, or cash (if in the Greater Vancouver Area).
