About Sankyeat
Struggling with maths, or just want to feel less lost before your exams? That's exactly what I'm here for. I'm a qualified maths teacher with six years of private tutoring experience, and I work one-to-one with KS3 and GCSE students of every ability.
I know maths can feel stressful, so I keep things calm and never rush you — I break topics down into small steps until they actually click, and I check you've understood rather than just moving on. Whether you're resitting, aiming for your first pass, or pushing for a grade 9, I'll meet you where you are and build from there.
As well as one-to-one tutoring, I've taught in both school and tutoring settings, including classes of up to thirty from KS3 to A-level — so wherever you're stuck, chances are I've helped someone through it before.

Here's how I work:
Your first lesson is free and always starts with a diagnostic — I assess strengths and gaps and build a clear plan around what the student actually needs.
Lessons are interactive. I keep students talking and thinking with regular questions, so I know they're genuinely following, not just nodding along.
Every lesson opens with a quick starter to warm up a key skill or recall last week's work before we move into the main topic.
I model everything before you try it — I do, we do, you do — so no one's thrown in at the deep end.
Lessons are one-to-one, usually 60 to 90 minutes, and planned around the individual.
