About Karan
I have a deep passion for exploring mathematical ideas and understanding how they underpin a wide range of disciplines. For example, the Law of Large Numbers and the Central Limit Theorem form the foundation of probability theory. Likewise, Calculus (particularly optimisation) and Linear Algebra are central to the development of Machine Learning, while Complex Numbers are indispensable in Quantum Mechanics and many other advanced fields. One of my strengths as an educator is the ability to break down complex concepts into clear, accessible explanations. I strive to help students not only grasp the "how" but also appreciate the underlying rationale behind mathematical ideas. This approach fosters deeper understanding, curiosity, and confidence in learners.

Over nearly a decade of teaching Mathematics and Physics, I’ve developed a structured and effective approach that consistently builds strong conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills in students. My lessons begin with clear explanations of key concepts, followed by their application in problem-solving contexts. I integrate tools like Desmos to support a graphical approach, helping students visualise mathematical relationships and deepen their intuition. Problems are introduced with progressive difficulty, allowing students to build confidence before tackling more complex challenges. I regularly incorporate past paper questions to reinforce exam readiness and connect learning to real assessment standards. This method has proven successful in engaging learners, fostering mathematical thinking, and helping students achieve meaningful progress across a range of abilities.

He explained the concepts very clearly. Whenever, I had any doubts or questions he was able to break to problem down and walk me through it.
Karan is an amazing maths tutor that expertly tutored me through my A-levels, where I got an A, and now at university in advanced maths module that also includes econometrics. He explains everything very clearly and has an in-depth understanding of mathematical concepts that he breaks down to you. He is very patient and flexible in every aspect.
