About Simon
Being questioned by students and being challenged makes the journey of both students and teacher more fulfilling. I am more interested in helping others develop their own independent artistic voice rather than that they parrot another's squawks.
I have an extensive range of skills I can assist and teach and an understanding of contemporary and historical artist and am well versed in the language and various written forms e.g. essays. essay, popular commentary and report.

I have had a career in the visual arts for over 30 years and worked extensively teaching, including working with students with anxiety and depression. Lessons are based upon problem solving or the design loop, aimed at honing the students identification of their own artistic interests and development of problem solving and resolution skills.. Acquisition of skills and techniques from the basic skills through to advanced.
