About Jane
I have privately tutored many students in Biology and Chemistry GCSE & A - Level for several years always successfully with a bump up in expected grades. I also teach KS3 science in the classroom and on an individual basis. I enjoy teaching students so much that I decided to do an MSc - post graduate certificate of education -which I am currently part way through.
I acquired a BSc, MSc with distinction and PhD in Biological Sciences at Exeter University. My PhD was in biochemistry and genetics specifically. During my PhD, I supervised undergraduate students in laboratory sessions, supervised projects and conducted lectures in specific topics relating to my research. I presented my research work at international conferences in South Africa, San Diego and the UK.

I have a passion for teaching and science and have taught students for many years in the age range 11- 18 and thoroughly enjoy it.
I begin by finding out a little bit about you and identifying your goals and objectives. This is done as a free consultation prior to any lessons.
My teaching style is to be interactive and will be activity based so I can assess your progress and adapt the pace of the lessons to suit you.
