About Brandon
I have a PhD in Biology with a focus on entomology, genetics, organismal biology, and biodiversity. Besides being a scientist, I am an experienced educator having taught a variety of college laboratory classes and K-12 schools as part of our entomology outreach program. My teaching style focuses on active learning and a conversational approach. I try to understand students current interests and level of knowledge and design tutoring lessons from there. Each student varies in learning style and what they know of particular subjects so I seek to meet students where they are so they can make progress from there.
