About Hillery
I am an Archaeologist who is presently studying for a PhD. I have for the last 3 years been volunteering to teach veterans archaeology and many have gone on to study and gain their degrees in the subject. I am comfortable helping anyone who is dyslexic (I am dyslexic and so I understand the problems) on general subjects and also with essay (and dissertation) writing.

I always start my teaching by listening to my pupils, every person has a different reason for wanting a tutor and I have found that a 'one size fits all' approach does not help anyone to achieve their goals. I can tutor up to degree level, but equally, I am comfortable helping those who are complete beginners. Because of my dyslexia, I understand that at times, the same thing has to be repeated in different ways in order for it to make sense, this makes me a very patient teacher. I believe in my pupils achieving their full potential and being able to continue at that standard after they have moved on from my tutorage.

Details
These are flat rates. If my pupil is more than 10 miles away then there is an additional charge of £10 per hour (or part of an hour) travel time plus mileage at 45p per mile. Cancelled lessons are a flat fee of £10
