About Idris Kambala
My name is Idris Kambala, and I hold a PhD in Economics with expertise in economics, econometrics, statistics, and data analytics. I currently teach economics at the university level, where I work with students from diverse academic backgrounds and help them build strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
As a tutor, I believe that every student can succeed with clear explanations, patience, and structured guidance. I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing confidence, and mastering challenging concepts at their own pace.

I believe that learning quantitative subjects such as economics, statistics, or econometrics should go beyond memorizing formulas or solving problems mechanically. My goal is to help students understand the underlying concepts so they can apply them confidently in coursework, exams, research, and real-world situations.
I hold a PhD in Economics and teach students in microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, statistics, data analytics, and other quantitative methods. I also assist with Stata and R, regression analysis, and empirical research projects.
I have worked with students from diverse academic backgrounds and understand that everyone learns differently. Hence, I adapt my teaching to each student's needs, whether you are taking your first introductory economics course, preparing for an exam, working through econometrics assignments, or conducting empirical research.
In our first lesson, I will begin by identifying the concepts that are causing difficulty. I then explain the intuition behind concepts and materials using clear examples before working through problems together step by step. As you become more comfortable, I encourage you to solve problems independently while I provide guidance and feedback. My objective is not only to help you complete an assignment but to ensure you understand the concepts and materials well enough to tackle similar problems on your own.
