About the lesson

How I teach

Every lesson starts with you. In our first session I find out your course, your level and what’s worrying you most, then plan the lessons around that. I explain concepts step by step in plain English, using real research examples rather than abstract formulae. I then work through problems with you until you can do them on your own.

For dissertation and project students, I work on your own data and research question. I can help you choose the right study design and statistical test, clean and analyse your data, interpret results correctly and write them up clearly. I can teach in R, SPSS, STATA, SAS or Python. I can also show you how to use AI tools responsibly to support your research, which I have taught at university.

Lesson length

Lessons usually last 60 minutes. For hands-on data analysis, I recommend 90 minutes so we have time to work through your analysis properly. Lessons are online, or in person in Uxbridge and West London.
