About John
John has a PhD in pure mathematics from Durham University, as well as a master’s degree in mathematics (First Class Honours). During his PhD studies, he led tutorials for numerous undergraduate courses and partook in several outreach programs. He also did some tutoring for A level mathematics students. As a result, he has experience presenting mathematics in a fun and engaging way to people of all skill ranges.

John is a calm and patient tutor, who aims to help build the understanding and confidence of his students. He is enthusiastic about mathematics and brings this enthusiasm to his tutoring. He understands that different students will learn in different ways and is able to adapt and tailor his teaching to help bring out the best in his students.
