About Isobel
I got inspired to teach professionally while volunteering in my local art gallery. I found that I often learnt more from engaging in conversations with visitors (young and old) than I could ever have from textbooks. I am a voracious reader, and I want to inspire others to find their confidence and passion in the study of the past.

Friendly and approachable, I can help my students build their confidence and find their voice. I find that a 45 min session, twice a week, is optimal for encouraging student development and independence. I have 5 years' experience tutoring at GCSE/ A level and adult Continuous learning level. I am a postgraduate (PhD History) in my early thirties.
