About Morgan
I have a PhD in molecular biology, where I studied the evolution of genes and genomes in soil microbes. During my graduate studies, I also worked as a teaching assistant for 8 terms. The courses I taught were Nucleic Acids Biochemistry, Introductory Biochemistry, and Intermediary Metabolism, and I also worked for a year and a half as a writing tutor for my university where I helped students primarily with scientific lab reports.

In general I can take a flexible approach depending on the needs of the student (i.e. studying for exams, completing assignments or lab reports, etc.) but my main focus is on the big picture and overarching concepts or patterns that can help the student make sense of the material as a whole. While I'm happy to look at specific questions, I prefer to help the student understand why the answer is what it is, rather than just help them arrive at the answer, therefore helping to build their foundation on the topic.
I would be best suited to topics surrounding genetics, evolution, molecular biology, and microbiology, whether this is in the context of high school courses, or an undergraduate degree.
