My teaching focuses on building clear understanding from first principles, then developing strong analytical and writing skills.
Lessons are typically 60–90 minutes and structured around your needs: we might work through key texts, clarify difficult concepts, or refine essays and arguments. I emphasise clarity, precision, and critical engagement — helping you not just understand material, but use it effectively.
My experience teaching at Durham means I’m familiar with what examiners and lecturers expect, particularly at A-level and university level. Lessons are suited to students from sixth form through to undergraduate and postgraduate study, especially those aiming to improve their confidence, argumentation, and grades.
