About Debodeep
I am a PhD researcher in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Pisa and the University of Trento, Italy, with an academic background spanning a BSc and MSc in Statistics and an MSc in Data Science. My research focuses on machine learning, large language models, and statistical methods applied to real-world decision-making problems, and I have authored several peer-reviewed papers in this area. I enjoy teaching machine learning and its statistical foundations in a way that builds genuine intuition rather than rote formulas — from core concepts like regression and model evaluation, to deep learning and modern AI techniques. I tailor each lesson to the student's background and goals, whether preparing for exams, building practical coding skills in Python, or exploring machine learning for a project or career transition.

My lessons are tailored to the student's current level and goals, whether you're a beginner just starting with machine learning or someone looking to deepen your understanding of specific techniques. I typically begin by assessing your background in mathematics, statistics, and programming, so that we can build on what you already know rather than starting from a generic template.
Lessons combine clear conceptual explanations with hands-on coding practice in Python, since I believe machine learning is best learned by understanding the "why" behind an algorithm and then implementing it yourself. Depending on your needs, we can focus on foundational topics (linear algebra, probability, statistics for ML), core machine learning methods (regression, classification, model evaluation), or more advanced areas like deep learning and neural networks.
I also work with students preparing for exams, coursework, or personal/professional projects, and I'm happy to adapt the pace and depth of each session accordingly. My goal is always for you to leave each lesson with genuine understanding, not just a solution to a specific problem.
