About Erika
Coding emerged for me as a practical necessity while finishing my PhD at Stanford University. I remember staring at a recursive function for hours until it finally clicked into place. These days I support teens and kids who struggle with the basics of programming by breaking down complex logic into manageable steps.
My work includes teaching version control using Git, Java, C++, and SQL databases to ensure students build a solid foundation. After 6 years of tutoring, I find that younger students often need a steady guide to navigate debugging techniques. Having worked in industry for 10 years, I see how messy code hinders progress. I am currently accepting new students who want to improve their skills and perhaps this starts with a conversation about what you need.
