About Matt
I’m a PhD student and experienced educator with over eight years of tutoring students from middle school through college. My work spans a wide range of subjects, including mathematics, science, social studies, and Advanced Placement (AP) coursework, allowing me to support students at multiple stages of their academic journey.
What sets my approach apart is a deep understanding of both the content and the learning process. I’ve worked with students as they build foundational skills, tackle challenging coursework, and prepare for high-stakes exams. Whether it’s strengthening core concepts or refining advanced problem-solving strategies, I tailor each session to meet individual needs and learning styles.
As both a researcher and a teacher, I bring a balance of academic rigor and practical teaching experience. I understand the daily demands students face because I navigate them myself, and I use that perspective to make learning more approachable, structured, and effective.
My goal is not just to help students improve their grades, but to build confidence, independence, and lasting academic skills that extend beyond any single class or exam.

I love tutoring and helping students excel! A typical lesson for me involves catching up with the student, going through homework, identifying what needs work, and additional practice. Students that tutor with me see their grades and confidence improve. I can tutor from Middle School to College.
