About Alisah
I initially began my role as a private tutor six years ago teaching higher education science subjects during my BSc Hons degree. After the completion of my MSc Molecular Medicine, I started my journey as a professional educator, teaching further education science subjects for private students who requested support for the foundation year pre-degree access programme. Early last year, I was appointed by Tutor & Examsâ to be actively involved in the grading and assessment of private students for GCSE and A-level science subjects during the summer examination period 2021, given the cancellation of exams. During my PhD, I have recently been awarded the Graduate Fellow Award from the University of Bradford, a coherent framework for supporting the development of teaching with an optimum focus on The UK professional Standards Framework (UKPSF). Following this, I have now opted to demonstrate in practical laboratory classes of the BSc Biomedical Sciences degree and BSc Clinical Sciences degree programmes.

My roles within education have enabled me to experience all aspects of teaching, including the in-depth planning and delivery of high-quality lessons in both virtual and practical settings. Administrative tasks including, schemes of work, monthly progress reports and detailed feedback. Furthermore, administering and evaluating assessments, both as an indicator of student progress and preparation for examinations. My success has been evident from returning students learning with me continuously through all stages of their higher education, alongside the high success rate of students. I have always maintained a supportive and approachable environment to support the learning of students. I ensure I implement learning strategies which are inclusive of all students, which remains a crucial part during the planning process of lessons. My dedication and passion is displayed through the extra support I give to my students beyond lesson time, if needed. Working with students who have learning difficulties, has enabled me to pursue resilience through challenges during my teaching experience. Being multi- lingual enables me to also support international students, where English may not be the primary language. remaining sensitive to the expectations of different nationalities.
