About Michael
I am currently studying a PhD in Medicine with a focus on Medical Statistics. I have a Master's (MSci) degree in Mathematics where I covered a wide range of topics including (but not limited to) algebra, statistics, geometry and calculus. I have always had an enjoyment and a passion for mathematics and so during my A-Levels I undertook extra mathematics modules on top of my further maths course (sitting 15 courses altogether). I have a broad experience of teaching and tutoring my specialities, ranging from teaching fundamental mathematics to GCSE students to tutoring university lecturers on more complex statistical concepts.

I try to draw on examples and analogies that are relevant and relatable to my student. We work backwards through examples to understand the underlying mechanism behind them and create an appreciation of *why* things are the way they are, rather than just memorisation of the *what*
