About Jake
I have always had roles involving helping others/explaining concepts to others, including being a peer tutor, being involved with programmes helping students in lower years, and generally helping friends during the course of my degree. I worked as a support worker in my second year where I helped students with notetaking and laboratory support. I have previously worked in hospitals and with younger children on camps and so I have previous DBS checks.

I am happy to meet for 1 hour periods (or more) to help with understanding of general and specific areas in biology, molecular biology and genetics, and to help with more specific issues such as coursework. I graduated with a 1st class genetics degree from a Russell group university and was awarded a prize for my academic achievement. I studied a broad range of modules, and did extracurricular work experience, so please ask if you think I could help you with something! I am now undertaking a PhD at a Russell group university in London and my tutoring would be best suited to undergraduate biology students or lower.
