About Christal
I tutored for three years when I was going through school, and I spent two of those years commuting an insane distance to do it. After finishing school I decided to pursue full-time work and left the world of tutoring for a few years. I am looking to start working in the field of tutoring again to earn some extra money while doing work I can be proud of.
My love for teaching began when I was very young, and I would set up a "classroom" with assignments and fun projects for my little sister to do. Now I am 24 years old, and I am ultimately looking forward to getting a postgraduate degree. I am still weighing my options between a few different choices, and giving myself the time to pick a career path that I can truly enjoy. I believe life is all about doing what you love, being with the people you love, and staying positive! I believe my attitude will help students feel at ease and to not be afraid of making mistakes.

I am all about using guidance to help students think outside of the box, and use their creativity. If I was working with a student on an essay, for example, I would have them write out some of the themes they want to focus on. After this, I would ask them to think about what kind of data might help them get their ideas across. Whether it is using research, or a text, I would have them pick out certain things that relate to their topics. After brainstorming, I would also help them with formatting to create a structured outline to make the essay writing process easier. After they have done the work writing their essay, I would also love to proofread their work and address any concerns with grammar.
When I was a tutor, I loved getting to know the great kids I was working with and helping them succeed. I have a passion for writing, and I would be proud to help others find confidence in their writing as well. I am very comfortable working with kids from middle school to high school ages, and I am also comfortable working up to lower division college English classes. I am also very comfortable helping with college admissions essays!

Back in college Christal helped me a lot with my English class.
