About Aline
I am a PhD candidate in philosophy (about to defend my thesis) at UQAM. I have an M.A. in philosophy, and an M.A. in ethics, both from Fordham University, in NYC. I've been teaching philosophy undergraduates (mostly ethics, medical ethics, ancient philosophy and medieval philosophy) since 2016.

Good training in philosophy is based on argument analysis: reading texts and understanding what the author is arguing for and how they are arguing for it. So, I help my students identify theses, arguments, and reasoning supporting those arguments. The next step is to formulate a cogent, coherent explanation based on that understanding. For that, I help my students with their writing skills and conceptual analysis.
