About Melissa
I always have been fascinated by photographs. It didn't start with wanting to take them but just loving the photos themselves. I love having them, Then it became loving taking them, A photograph is time travel. Not only can you see another moment in time but you can feel it as well. That's what I do. I capture these moments so I can have them forever.
I love to teach and what ever option you choose we will be working together to explore, learning how to not only take better photographs but growing in confidence as a photographer.
Expert in natural light as well as off camera flash lighting ! It's such a easy versatile way to get what you need fast, clean and easy
I'm so excited to share something I feel so passionate about and am so looking forward to helping others learn and grow as photographers and artists.

I opened my studio “A Girl in Love Photography” and discovered that I love running my own business as much as I love to take photographs. My work has been featured on the BBC, Good Morning America, Essence, Huffington Post, Metro Bride, Brides Magazine and Preston Bailey once called me “Wildly talented.” I teach a handful of workshops a year as well as one on one mentoring. Cross Training keeps me sane and meditation keeps me fit. I’m a homebody but I don’t let that stop me.
