About Tim
I have a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Arizona State Univeristy and am a licensed physical science teacher. I have taught chemistry, physics, AP Chemistry, AP Environmental Science, calculus, and algebra. I love explaining complicated topics in simple ways to help students form their own deep understanding.

My teaching approach is to begin with an activity or scenario that activates background knowledge and then introduce the new concepts. When introducing new concepts I ask alot of guiding questions to help students make sense of what they are learning. I then will do guided practice with types of problems students can expect and finally have them try some problems independently.
