About Aumkaar
Hi! I'm Aumkaar—a Physics and Astronomy graduate from the University of Waterloo with research experience at the Perimeter Institute and the Institute for Quantum Computing. I’ve spent the past few years immersed in advanced topics like mathematical physics, quantum computing, and cosmology, and I bring that same depth and clarity to my tutoring. Whether you're in high school, undergrad, or early graduate studies, I’ll meet you at your level and help you tackle complex topics with confidence. My lessons are structured, engaging, and fully personalized to your goals. I’m friendly, patient, and genuinely committed to helping you succeed—not just by improving your grades, but by helping you understand the material. If you're ready to strengthen your skills in math, physics, or coding, I’d be glad to work with you!

My tutoring approach is grounded in building deep conceptual understanding and intuition. I tailor lessons for high school, undergraduate, and early graduate students studying mathematical physics, advanced calculus, linear algebra, and quantum mechanics. Drawing on my academic background in Physics and Astronomy from the University of Waterloo and my experience as a Teaching Assistant, I focus on connecting rigorous mathematics with real physical insight.
A typical lesson begins with identifying the student's current understanding and gaps. From there, we work through fundamental principles, step-by-step problem-solving, and practical applications. I emphasize active learning—asking questions, encouraging exploration, and guiding students to discover solutions rather than just memorizing formulas. I also provide custom practice problems and solution guides to reinforce learning between sessions.
What sets me apart is my ability to break down complex ideas from advanced research areas like quantum computing and cosmology into clear, relatable concepts. Having worked with students in a second-year mathematical physics course, I understand the challenges they face and adapt my explanations to their learning style. My goal is to help students not just succeed academically but also appreciate the elegance and power of mathematical thinking.

I’m currently a third-year student studying Mathematical Physics at the University of Waterloo, and I had the pleasure of learning physics and mathematics from Aumkaar. We first met through academic circles, and over time, he became not just a tutor, but a genuine mentor to me in both subjects.
Aumkaar’s teaching style is incredibly clear, patient, and adaptable. He has a unique ability to break down complex concepts into digestible parts, making even the most abstract topics in quantum mechanics or advanced calculus feel approachable. He doesn’t just focus on solving problems — he ensures you understand the why behind the methods.
One experience that stands out is when I was struggling with a particularly challenging mathematical physics assignment involving differential equations and boundary conditions. Aumkaar sat down with me for hours, guiding me through the thought process step-by-step. He used analogies, visuals, and examples from real-world physics to help the concepts click. It was a turning point not just for that assignment but in how I approached the subject altogether.
I highly recommend Aumkaar to other Superprof members. Whether you’re trying to catch up or aiming to get ahead, he brings a rare combination of deep knowledge, clarity, and genuine care for his students’ progress. He doesn’t just teach — he inspires confidence.
