About Sam
I am working to finish my PhD in physics so that I can pursue my dream career as a physics educator. My teaching experience comes from my teaching assistant positions during graduate school as well as tutoring positions I held as an undergraduate. My love of teaching is what convinced me to pursue a graduate degree in the sciences.

Learning physics and math is tricky because even when there is a "right" answer, there are many different ways of arriving at that answer! My teaching method focuses on finding multiple routes to a correct answer so that each student can experience their own "Aha! I've got it!" moment. A typical lesson will ensure that you understand *how* to get to the right answer, and I will tailor my lesson plan to finding the right way for *you* to get there. My tutoring experience is primarily with high school and college students, but I love teaching (and coaching youth sports) so can amend my lesson plans for younger students as well.
