About Samiran
Hi, I'm Samiran! I've been tutoring Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science to students in Classes I–X for the past few years, and I genuinely love the moment when a tricky concept finally clicks for a student.
My teaching style is patient and student-focused: I try to meet each learner where they are, break down complex ideas into simple steps, and build genuine confidence, not just exam readiness. I'm comfortable teaching in English, Hindi, and Assamese, so I can explain things in whichever language helps a student understand best.
Outside the classroom, I'm an avid chess player, enjoy badminton and riding, and love singing in my free time. I believe a well-rounded mind learns better, and I try to bring that same curiosity and discipline into how I teach.

My Teaching Approach
Techniques & Methods
I believe understanding beats memorization every time. Rather than jumping straight to formulas or rules, I start with the underlying concept — the "why" — so students genuinely grasp a topic instead of just reproducing it for an exam. I adapt my explanations to how each student learns best, and I switch fluidly between English, Hindi, and Assamese so language is never a barrier to understanding. For Mathematics and Physics especially, I bring abstract ideas to life with hands-on demonstrations and models, rather than keeping everything on the whiteboard.
Typical Class Structure
A typical session starts with a quick recap of the previous topic to make sure it's stuck, followed by introducing the new concept step-by-step, using relatable examples before moving to formal definitions or formulas. From there, we work through practice problems together, with me gradually stepping back as the student gains confidence. I close each class by flagging a few problems for independent practice, so learning continues between sessions rather than just during them.

Who My Classes Are For
My classes are designed for school students in Classes I to X, covering Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science at the middle and secondary school level. I work well with students who are catching up on fundamentals, aiming to get ahead of their curriculum, or preparing specifically for board exams — as well as those who've simply found these subjects intimidating in the past and want a more patient, one-on-one approach.
