About Daniel
I'm Daniel! I am currently enrolled in the Honors College at Georgia State University pursuing my BS in Physics. I have always been fascinated with the inner workings of life, the universe, and existence itself and it has been a remarkable experience to finally begin the journey to realize my dream of becoming a physicist. Along the way, that curiosity has developed into proficiency in mathematics from subjects ranging from arithmetic to calculus. For the past three years, I have been lucky enough to tutor students from grades 6 through college level and have enjoyed working with students of all ages. I feel privileged to have the opportunity to share my passion for learning and mathematics.

The structure of academic institutions these days focuses heavily on test grades, following their prescribed rules, and learning the way they want you to learn. However, I strongly believe that every student is different and their learning path should be tailored individually to them and their needs. I feel it is important to not just memorize formulas but to develop a deeper understanding of the fundamentals and inner workings of the concepts. This helps build an intuitive understanding of how to work different skills, which is key to fostering competence and mastery.
Ultimately education should be for self-enrichment from the value of knowledge itself, not just a measure of how well you follow the rules of the institution or what test grades you get. I value patience and compassion. I believe there are no stupid questions and that everyone has to start somewhere. Learning is a process that starts with building a strong foundation that can properly support new and more complex concepts.
