About Holly
My interest in physics began with a fascination for understanding how forces, energy, and motion shape the universe. This curiosity led me to complete a Master’s degree in Applied Physics, equipping me with a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of the subject. Over the past 10 years, I have taught students across all levels, helping them develop strong conceptual foundations, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving skills, while nurturing a genuine appreciation for physics.
I approach teaching with patience, clarity, and flexibility, tailoring lessons to each student’s learning style and pace. I emphasise connecting abstract concepts to practical examples, using diagrams, experiments, and guided discussions. I encourage questions, critical thinking, and exploration to help learners gain confidence and independence in understanding complex material.
Beyond the classroom, I stay updated with current research in physics, technological applications, and experimental innovations. This allows me to enrich lessons with contemporary relevance and real-world examples. Witnessing students transform from hesitant learners to confident thinkers is deeply fulfilling. My goal is to inspire intellectual curiosity, foster analytical reasoning, and equip learners with the skills and confidence to thrive academically and in any scientific pursuit they choose.

Physics becomes more approachable and inspiring when students understand its relevance to the world around them. I teach topics such as Newtonian mechanics, energy transfer, thermodynamics, waves, electricity, and magnetism, breaking down complex concepts into relatable, practical examples. My lessons emphasise critical thinking and conceptual clarity, enabling students to grasp not only the formulae but also the reasoning and intuition behind physical laws. Each class encourages curiosity, experimentation, and engagement to help students connect abstract principles to real-life phenomena.
I structure lessons to meet each student’s needs. Beginners focus on understanding core principles with hands-on experiments, diagrams, and step-by-step problem-solving. Intermediate students explore multi-step calculations, reasoning in applied scenarios, and derivations, while advanced learners tackle challenging physics problems, theoretical analysis, and project-based applications. Every session includes guided practice, constructive feedback, and discussion to ensure continuous progress and conceptual mastery.
Physics lessons also nurture analytical skills, logical thinking, and confidence in problem-solving. My aim is to help students approach challenges methodically and creatively while fostering a lasting appreciation for the beauty and order of physical laws. I strive to create an environment where learners feel capable, motivated, and confident in their abilities, ultimately building a foundation for academic success and intellectual curiosity in science.
