About Madeline
I hold a B.Sc in Physics and an M.Sc in Applied Physics, with 9 years of teaching experience in high school and undergraduate education. My teaching philosophy emphasises clarity, patience, and active engagement, making even the most abstract concepts approachable and meaningful. I aim to inspire curiosity, strengthen analytical skills, and build confidence through carefully structured lessons that incorporate visual demonstrations, step-by-step problem solving, and real-world applications. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s level, incorporating hands-on experiments, simulations, and guided exercises that enhance understanding. I encourage learners to question assumptions, think independently, and apply principles creatively to solve both textbook and real-world problems. I emphasise conceptual understanding alongside calculation skills to build a solid foundation for advanced study. Beyond teaching, I remain actively engaged in the latest research and developments in physics, attending seminars and reading academic journals. This allows me to bring contemporary examples into lessons and show students the evolving nature of scientific discovery. Witnessing learners transform from uncertainty to competence, curiosity, and confidence is deeply rewarding and fuels my dedication to teaching physics with passion and commitment.

Physics becomes engaging when students understand how the universe operates through clear concepts and practical applications. My lessons cover classical mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, waves, and introductory quantum mechanics, providing an integrative learning experience that connects theory to observable phenomena. Students develop analytical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and experimental understanding through interactive demonstrations, guided problem-solving, and real-world examples. The lessons are structured to be approachable while gradually increasing in complexity to challenge learners and inspire curiosity. Beginners receive patient guidance with foundational principles, simple problem-solving, and visual explanations that make abstract ideas more tangible. Intermediate learners explore multi-step calculations, data analysis, experimental design, and the connections between different physics concepts. Advanced students tackle higher-order problems, integrate multiple physics domains, and apply critical thinking in theoretical and practical exercises. I focus on creating a supportive environment where every question is welcomed, and mistakes are transformed into learning opportunities. Physics empowers learners to develop critical thinking, logical reasoning, and curiosity about the natural world. Students become more confident in tackling complex problems and relating scientific principles to daily life. The ultimate goal is to nurture independent thinkers who can approach challenges systematically, apply knowledge creatively, and appreciate the beauty and coherence of physical laws in both academic and real-world contexts.
