About Abigail
My interest in physics began with curiosity about how simple observations could be explained by elegant laws. This interest led me to complete a B.Sc in Physics followed by an M.Sc in Experimental Physics, where I developed a strong appreciation for both theory and measurement. Over 11 years of teaching, I have worked with students from varied academic backgrounds, helping them move from uncertainty to clarity through patient explanation and consistent encouragement. Teaching has shown me that confidence grows when learners feel understood, not rushed.
My teaching philosophy centers on clarity, adaptability, and respect for each learner’s pace. I focus on building understanding step by step, using diagrams, everyday examples, and structured reasoning. I encourage questions and discussion, because explaining ideas aloud strengthens understanding. Rather than emphasizing speed, I emphasize accuracy and calm thinking, which leads to stronger long-term results.
Outside teaching, I stay connected to physics through reading, practical experimentation, and following modern research developments. This ongoing engagement allows me to keep lessons meaningful and relevant. Teaching physics is rewarding because I see students grow into thoughtful, confident thinkers who approach challenges with curiosity rather than fear.

Physics often feels difficult when it is presented as formulas without meaning, so my lessons begin by grounding every concept in observation and experience. I introduce motion, forces, energy, waves, and basic fields by linking them to situations students already recognize, such as moving vehicles, sound, light, or everyday machines. Each idea is unfolded slowly, allowing learners to see how principles connect rather than memorizing isolated rules. I emphasize asking “why” before “how,” which helps students build confidence and curiosity instead of fear. Lessons are structured to feel calm and logical, creating a space where confusion is treated as a natural step toward understanding. Through guided discussion and clear explanation, learners begin to recognize patterns that make physics feel coherent and approachable.
As lessons progress, I adapt the depth and pace to the learner’s level. Early learners focus on conceptual clarity, visual interpretation, and simple problem breakdowns. More advanced learners explore mathematical relationships, multi-step reasoning, and careful interpretation of results. Practice problems are selected to reinforce reasoning rather than repetition, helping students develop steady analytical habits. I support learners who aim to strengthen scientific thinking for academic growth or technical paths, ensuring they feel supported rather than overwhelmed.
Beyond exams, physics lessons help learners develop patience, structured thinking, and confidence in problem solving. Students often notice that as physics becomes clearer, their general reasoning improves as well. My goal is to help learners feel capable of understanding the physical world and trusting their own thinking process.
