We've had Xavier for 2 years teaching 2 gifted boys, one mine and one another parent's, to supplement a school program that had our children bored to tears. We hired him because he has an advanced math background and in order to be able to get into more advanced math topics, you need a thorough understanding of the material. This thorough understanding is often not instilled in regular school teachers. Even though we had high hopes, Xavier has been more incredible than expected, moving with through material years beyond their grade level, an impressive feat. This is particularly surprising as he only taught for a once-a-week one-hour session. Additionally, gifted children (especially mine) can be extra sensitive. Even with that challenge, Xavier has managed to push my child without discouraging his spirit, which can be hard for sensitive souls. I am so very thankful for everything he's done.
