About Elizabeth
I am a graduate-trained physicist with four years of experience teaching both algebra-based and calculus-based Physics I and II at the undergraduate level. I have worked extensively with students in mechanics, electricity and magnetism, waves, and circuits, helping them strengthen both conceptual understanding and quantitative problem-solving skills.
My teaching approach emphasizes clarity, structure, and building intuition before diving into equations. I focus on helping students understand why methods work, not just how to apply formulas. Whether you're preparing for exams, working through homework, or trying to rebuild confidence in physics or mathematics, I provide organized, patient, and results-focused instruction.

I have taught both algebra-based and calculus-based physics 1 and physics 2.
A typical lesson with me would feature me guiding you through practice problems by asking questions designed to lean on your intuition while keeping you on the right track.
My goal is to demystify physics and mathematics - we often treat them as far more intimidating and far less intuitive than they need to be.
My lessons would best serve those at the high school or undergraduate level who may feel intimidated or uncomfortable with physics or calculus and are willing to put work in to improve.
