About Joanna
I have been a Physiotherapist for over 10 years and a qualified yoga instructor for 3. However, I have practiced and benefited from yoga for a long time! I am passionate about helping people heal both mentally and physically from any injuries they may have. I appreciate the need to treat the person holistically. I have worked with a broad variety of different clients and in many settings. . I understand pain, injury, and disability and how these can put people off experiencing the joys of Yoga. I have a special interest in women's health and conditions associated with the female body, including pregnancy. I have completed extra yoga training in pre and post natal yoga.

About the lesson

Each session is highly individualised for you. I will ask for some information before the session about any conditions, injuries, or dissabilities you may have. This is also an opportunity for you to share anything you think is important to ensure we get the most from the session.
My classes are 1 hour in duration and combine breathwork (pranayama), meditation, and postures (asanas). I will suggest modifications and props where appropriate to ensure you have an enjoyable experience.
Pregnancy/ Post-natal class - I will ask questions specific to your stage of pregnancy or concerning your delivery, if appropriate. The class will be suited to your stage of pregnancy or post-natal recovery. We will incorporate pelvic floor exercises into our sessions.
My style is a combination of vinyasa, hatha, and yin.
Yoga is a wonderful tool for healing the body and the mind and I am passionate about sharing these benefits.
