About Kee
With over 4 years of experience teaching piano, I help college students build technical skill, musical understanding, and artistic expression. My lessons are personalized and student-centered, adapting to each learner’s pace, goals, and interests. I combine traditional piano techniques with creative and innovative methods such as improvisation exercises, composition projects, and blending classical and contemporary music.
I emphasize technical mastery, sight-reading, theory, rhythm, and performance preparation, while also encouraging students to explore their own style and voice. I strive to create a motivating, supportive, and engaging learning environment where students feel confident, challenged, and inspired. My ultimate aim is to guide students to not only perform skillfully but also enjoy music deeply, fostering a lifelong love for piano and artistic growth.

My piano teaching approach focuses on creativity, understanding, and personal growth. I believe learning piano should be enjoyable, structured, and meaningful for every student.
Creativity is encouraged in lessons through exploring different music styles, learning songs students love, and trying simple improvisation. This helps students express themselves and develop a love for music.
As a mentor and critical thinker, I guide students to understand music, not just memorize it. I explain rhythm, chords, scales, finger technique, and expression in clear steps. Students learn to analyze their playing and correct mistakes independently.
Accountability is a key part of my teaching. I help students set clear goals, follow consistent practice routines, and track their progress. Regular feedback keeps students motivated and disciplined.
Along with piano, I teach music theory, sight reading, ear training, rhythm skills, keyboard basics, and simple composition to build well-rounded musicians.
