About Xenia
I am an enthusiastic, an experienced, classically trained piano and guitar teacher. I specialise in teaching children from early age. However, all ages are welcome. In my lessons I’ll teach you not only to play piano or guitar, but also the language of music. Music is a universal language and all is about storytelling. It’s not simply ‘playing’ notes, it’s about telling a story that affects your audience and leaves them with changed emotional feelings, whether that be joy, melancholy...the list goes on. So whilst I adapt the lessons to suit the needs of each individual student, my aim is to create an open and fun environment that makes learning to play piano and guitar enjoyable, whilst always coming away a stronger pianist or guitarist. In a typical classical exam you’ll get 90% from a perfect technical performance, but if the dynamics that bring the story of the piece to life aren’t there, you won’t get the final 10%. In my lessons I teach all the basics, step by step: Where the notes are on the piano or guitar, how to read music, building chords, music theory, right position and dynamics. Also I aim to teach you a new song in every lesson. So, while playing songs from classic, pop, rock and diverse hits you’ll learn to read music and improve your technique. Due to the current pandemic situation I am now teaching all my pupils online on Zoom and Skype.

Xenia is an amazing teacher with patience as huge as a mountain. She taught me how to play Ukulele and based on those lessons I am able to pick up various tunes and improvise on strumming patterns as well.
She is very sweet and kind and is always ready to help. She explains everything as many times as you want her to and will do it with immense commitment.Xenia has taught me so much about music and ukulele playing, it's always been mind bending how much I can learn from her!
She's has always been very patient and always took her time to allow me to get through hard concepts or techniques.
